After landing on my Qatar Airways flight from Doha and grabbing my luggage, it was just a quick 45-minute taxi ride to the Westin Grande Sukhumvit.
Prime Location in the Heart of Bangkok
The Westin Grande Sukhumvit is in a fantastic spot in the city, just a short walk from the Asok BTS Skytrain and Sukhumvit MRT stations. My personal favorite thing is that it's right next to Terminal 21 shopping mall. This awesome location makes it super easy to dive into Bangkok's lively neighbourhoods, shopping, and nightlife.
First Impressions & Arrival
When you get to the hotel, you're met with a sleek exterior and a friendly entrance. The lobby is roomy and cozy, giving off a vibe that makes you feel right at home. When I got to the check-in desk, they surprised me with a sweet upgrade to a one-bedroom suite.
Hallways & Room Access
As soon as I stepped off the elevator, the wood-panelled walls and plush carpet set a tone of quiet luxury, while the well-lit, tranquil hallways guided me to my room with a sense of calm and privacy.
Suite Life: Living Room & Bedroom
The suite’s living area is spacious and tastefully decorated, with a comfortable sofa and plenty of room to relax or work. Large windows let in natural light, creating a bright and airy atmosphere.
Welcome to room 1024 at The Westin Grande Sukhumvit.
When I opened the door to room 1024 and checked out the living room, I could tell this stay was going to be awesome. The plush carpet, the glass-topped desk, the comfy sofa, and the big screen TV—what a perfect spot to kick back or get some work done.
When I turned to walked into the bedroom, there was a nice tray of fresh fruit, the usual Nespresso machine with a variety of coffee options, and two bottles of water.
The king-size bed is plush and inviting, promising a restful night’s sleep after a day of exploring the city. The room’s design is both modern and soothing, with thoughtful touches that make you feel at home.
Elegant Bathrooms & Amenities
The bathroom is spacious and well-appointed, featuring a separate shower and bathtub. High-quality amenities and thoughtful details add a touch of luxury to your daily routine.
The bathroom was stocked with the usual White Tea shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion from Westin.
Relaxation & Recreation: The Pool
The outdoor swimming pool is a true oasis in the city. With comfortable loungers, it’s the perfect spot to unwind after a busy day or to start your morning with a refreshing swim.
Final Thoughts
The bell staff at The Westin Grande Sukhumvit were super helpful in moving my suitcase over to The Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit for when I got back from my trip to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.
The Westin Grande Sukhumvit stands out for its unbeatable location, spacious suites, and excellent amenities. Whether you’re in Bangkok for business or leisure, this hotel offers a relaxing and luxurious base for your adventures in the city.
